Among HMX switches, this is a well-finished quiet model. Despite its semi-silent label, I found it surprisingly quiet, with only a faint bottom-out sound. The bar-style dampener adds a slightly squishy feel, which is its main drawback. It makes more bottom-out noise than Gateron 0 Degree Silent, but some people may pre

What I liked: this is a very loud tactile switch with an especially satisfying bump, yet it feels remarkably smooth. There is a lot of lube on the side rails. The PEI bottom-out feels softer than I expected, and I really like it. What to watch out for: it is very loud. Overall, this was my first time trying PEI. Its

It felt creamy, but I couldn't find anything distinctive about this switch. That's why I gave it two stars.

The silencing feels well executed, with just the right amount of tactility and none of that squishy feeling on bottom-out or return. At $0.56 each, it is a little pricey, and some people may find the bottom-out firm. I remember being underwhelmed by what I think was Midnight Silent V2 about three years ago. Midnight Pr

The protrusion on the bottom housing is interesting. It seems to suppress the typing sound, keeping the switch from being too noisy, though I am not certain the protrusion is the reason. The price is on the high side, and the damped sound feels muffled to me, so preferences may vary. I wondered whether designing a quie

Despite the relatively affordable price of $0.50 per switch, this is an excellent silent switch with a quiet sound profile and just the right amount of tactility. The typing feel is similar to an EC switch, making it extremely satisfying to type on. The factory lubing is also well-balanced, providing a smooth keystro

The O-ring style keeps it quiet, but unlike a lot of silent switches it doesn't feel mushy -- the tactile bump comes through cleanly and it's genuinely comfortable to type on. My last Gateron silent switch was the 0 Degree Silent, and the silencing tech has clearly come a long way since then. The catch is the price: $

The good: it's cheap, and at 3.5mm total travel it doesn't feel as heavy as the spec weight suggests. The bad: it does feel cheap, and 60g might still be a touch heavy after all.

Less of a crisp, clicky feel than I expected -- about on par with Honey Peach, maybe, but the materials give it a lower-pitched sound than Honey Peach.

My first silent linear since the Gateron 0-Degree Silent. Full disclosure: if I'm going silent, I always reach for a tactile instead, so the score starts low from there (lol). That said, it's quieter than 0-Degree Silent, and it actually has a touch of tactile feel to it -- probably the silicone doing that -- which was

None of the impact V1 had -- just three changes: 1) it got a diffuser, 2) it got lighter, 3) it now makes some sound. Pricing depends where you buy, but at around $0.37 it's up from V1's $0.30, which feels a little off. Stem wobble is still around Cherry's level too, so it hasn't caught up to where the field is now. A premium gaming switch running about $1.20 each. The dual-rail design and material combo definitely makes for a smooth stroke, and a hole in the bottom housing gives it a crisp, satisfying sound -- both genuinely great. It also has that unmistakable "magnetic switch" sound, which people who like that will like. But it
