Overview
Kailh Midnight Pro Silent Tactile adds a tactile bump to the Midnight Pro's quiet switch design. Internal silencing pads help reduce keypress noise, and factory lubrication prepares the switch for use. Its transparent polycarbonate upper housing, nylon base and POM stem combine visual access for keyboard lighting with tactile feedback during the press.

The silencing feels well executed, with just the right amount of tactility and none of that squishy feeling on bottom-out or return. At $0.56 each, it is a little pricey, and some people may find the bottom-out firm. I remember being underwhelmed by what I think was Midnight Silent V2 about three years ago. Midnight Pro Silent is properly damped without the squish, which I really like. Its bottom-out is firmer than some other silent switches, but that is part of why I like it. It works with any keyboard; a firm plate such as FR4 or aluminum makes the cushioning easier to feel. There are no particular precautions beyond the firm bottom-out.
