Overview
The Vertex V1.2 is a linear MX-style switch made by JWK in collaboration with tech creator Nate Gentile, and a revision of the earlier Vertex V1. It combines a nylon PA66 top and bottom housing with a POM stem, and ships factory-lubed.
Its top housing carries an LED diffuser, letting light show through for RGB and translucent-keycap builds. The redesigned long-pole stem with a flat tip replaces V1's rounded pole, producing a brighter, cleaner sound than the deeper, more muffled V1.

None of the impact V1 had -- just three changes: 1) it got a diffuser, 2) it got lighter, 3) it now makes some sound. Pricing depends where you buy, but at around $0.37 it's up from V1's $0.30, which feels a little off. Stem wobble is still around Cherry's level too, so it hasn't caught up to where the field is now. Disappointing. The sound and feel come out creamy, so it should pair reasonably well with most boards. It's rated 52g but feels more like 48g in use, so some people may find it too light.
