RAE prepares a 20-unit Aurum in-stock raffle, bringing its jewellery-inspired 60% back
RAE’s gold-bar-inspired Aurum returns in a four-colour, 20-unit in-stock raffle. Entry runs October 30–November 2, with the PCB-equipped base kit priced at MYR 2,100.
Announcement date: October 28, 2026

RAE has announced an in-stock raffle for Aurum, its 60% mechanical keyboard, with 20 units available across four colours. Entries open October 30, 2026 at 03:00 UTC and close November 2 at 03:00 UTC—a 72-hour window. The base kit with PCB costs MYR 2,100.
Who is RAE?
RAE stands for Refined Artistic Engineering. Its official introduction names two co-founders: William, a Malaysian master jeweller, and Tip, a Vietnamese keyboard enthusiast and collector. The company is registered as Refined Artistic Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
That combination helps explain the studio’s approach: keyboard design informed by jewellery craftsmanship and close attention to material finishes. Aurum follows the Adamas, moving from that earlier keyboard’s faceted visual language toward the simpler geometry of a gold bar.

Gold-bar geometry, aluminium and brass
Aurum’s design takes its cue from the shape and reflected warmth of a gold bar. It uses an anodised 6063 aluminium case, brass internal and external weights, and a brass badge. The official specification lists WK and HHKB layouts, a 7.8-degree typing angle and an unbuilt weight of 1.6 kg.
RAE calls the mounting system Gasket Integrated Top-Mount: a top-mount arrangement combined with gasket tabs beneath the plate. The appeal is the relationship between restrained exterior lines, substantial brass detailing and that mounting structure; we have not tested the keyboard’s typing feel.
The four documented colours are Obsidian Black, Heritage Green, Cerulean Blue and Vermilion Red. The announcement gives a total of 20 units, without a colour-by-colour or layout-by-layout allocation.

A new sale, not the January group buy
RAE’s general Aurum page still displays its January 30–February 2, 2026 raffle group buy and MYR 2,000 base price. Those are historical terms. The October 28 Discord announcement is the source for this new October 30–November 2 in-stock raffle and MYR 2,100 price. The old production estimate and regional fulfilment arrangements should not be assumed to apply to this sale.
