KBDfans opens Chamber TKL group buy with masro’s resonance-focused design
A dedicated top mount, sculpted case and shaped internal weight put resonance at the center of masro’s Chamber TKL. The group buy runs through November 27, with a Divinikey kit example totaling $261 USD before shipping and tax.
Announcement date: October 28, 2026

KBDfans has opened the Chamber TKL group buy, a tenkeyless keyboard designed by masro around the relationship between internal space, case materials and typing sound. Ordering runs from October 27 through November 27, 2026, with both KBDfans and US vendor Divinikey currently estimating shipping in Q2 2027.
Chamber combines a dedicated top mount with a curved case profile and a shaped internal weight. Its design gives the switches, plate and case room to contribute to the sound, with foam available as an option.
Who is masro?
masro is the designer credited on KBDfans’ Chamber TKL and a collaborator on several Chosfox keyboards. Chosfox explicitly credits the Fox65 as co-designed with masro, while the compact Geonix family also carries the Chosfox X Masro name. Chamber brings that broader body of keyboard work to a conventional TKL layout.
His work extends to switches: the Chosfox X Masro Ragna is a commercially available linear switch manufactured by HMX. That gives readers another point of reference for his work beyond keyboard cases, while keeping the design collaboration and manufacturing roles distinct.
A chamber for resonance
In his October 2025 development essay, masro described a shift away from trying to constrain sound with internal ribs. Later prototypes opened up the interior and explored how space and weight placement affected resonance. The current product page carries that idea forward.
The production design uses a through-case weight with an elongated recess around a narrow central ridge. KBDfans describes that geometry as a way of shaping the space beneath the PCB as well as the distribution of mass. Thin PTFE pads separate the case halves to help limit unwanted vibration transfer. These are the maker’s design aims; they do not promise one universal sound across every build.
The continuous side curve is another defining feature. KBDfans says it requires a dedicated cutting tool working inward from the underside, rather than a standard chamfer.

Keebpedia’s impression: the PC character remains
We have tried Chamber in person. Despite the substantial weight of the unit we handled, its typing sound retained the distinctive character we associate with a polycarbonate case. The weight did not erase that impression.
That makes the PC version a matter of taste. If you enjoy that character, it is part of the appeal; if you prefer a different case sound, it is worth hearing before ordering. This is our impression of the unit we tried. Switches, plate, foam and other build choices can change the result, and this observation does not describe every available Chamber configuration.
Materials and layout choices
- WK or WKL TKL layout, with a 7-degree typing angle.
- Aluminum or polycarbonate top case; the bottom case is aluminum. The PC option is not an all-polycarbonate enclosure.
- Aluminum, copper or stainless-steel internal weight. Listed weight-bar masses are 415 g, 1,393 g and 1,246 g respectively; these are not complete keyboard weights.
- Aluminum, PC, FR4 or carbon-fiber plate; wired solder or hot-swap PCB. Solder supports ANSI/ISO, while hot-swap ANSI and ISO are separate options.
- Dedicated top mount, 0.17 mm PTFE force-break pads and optional PCB-specific foam.
Price: build the kit, not just the top case
Divinikey lists the top-case component at $72 USD, with the bottom case, internal weight, PCB and plate added separately. A PC or anodized top, $92 aluminum bottom, $40 aluminum weight, $40 solder PCB and $17 plate total $261 USD before optional foam, shipping and tax.
Using a $50 hot-swap PCB makes the same example $271 USD. A stainless-steel or copper weight adds $70 or $120 respectively compared with the aluminum weight. The copper-colored weight in the product render is therefore not included in the $261 example.
Budget separately for switches, keycaps and stabilizers, which are not listed in the standard kit contents. Divinikey also states that its free-shipping offer does not apply to this group buy.
