Overview

The Owlab London Fog V2 is a linear mechanical switch, a reworked successor to the original London Fog, now manufactured by HMX. It pairs a polycarbonate top housing with a modified P1 bottom and a modified POM stem, and comes factory-lubricated. Retailer listings describe a smooth, consistent downstroke with a soft, cushioned bottom-out. Its sound is characterised as deep and rounded with a light touch of clackiness, staying clear of thin plastic rattle.

This one is HMX-made, so it comes out clacky. Stem wobble is minimal, and at 49g it's on the light side.

The flip side: compared to V1 it leans clacky, so it's a genuinely different switch — for better or worse, it feels very "HMX." Don't think of it as an evolution of V1; treat it as a completely different switch. On that basis, it's the kind you'll clearly either love or not.

Pairs best with a foam-less, clacky board.
