The NovelKeys Cream is a linear MX-style switch made by Kailh, notable as one of the first built with POM (polyoxymethylene) for both housing and stem. This all-POM construction is self-lubricating: POM sliding on POM gradually smooths out with use.

At first I couldn't love it. People mod these heavily — lube, films — but the 70g bottom-out feels heavy, and even after lubing mine it took a ton of lube to get smooth.
(Updated 2026-06-17) Bumped from 1 star to 5 — NK Cream is the best. The 70g bottom-out is totally fine once you're used to it (train your wrists!) and genuinely fun. That natural scratchy sound and feel is rare these days, and I've grown to love it. Buy it unlubed and mod it to taste. I'd pair it with an older board — I use a Keycult No.1/60 — but it's worth experimenting.
Best on a clacky, foam-less board; a poor match for foam. The 70g spring is heavy for some, so a spring swap is a must.
