Overview
The Keygeek Explosion is a factory-lubed linear switch developed by the Awareness Club design collective. It pairs a PA66 top housing with a fiberglass-reinforced nylon bottom housing and an M4 POM-blend stem, a material set chosen to push the switch toward the loud, percussive end of Keygeek's lineup.
Retailers consistently describe it as clacky and high-pitched, with a loud, pronounced bottom-out that gives each keystroke sharp auditory feedback rather than a deep or muted tone.

As the name 'Explosion' suggests, this is on the louder side, but not so loud that it's a problem -- honestly it feels like a fairly ordinary switch in that regard. Fiberglass in the housing does tend to push a switch toward clacky, which tracks with past experience, but the 21mm spring is a pretty standard length, so I found myself wishing it went longer for more impact. Overall it feels like the name is bigger than the switch itself.
