Overview
The Kailh Deep Sea Silent Mini – Tactile Whale is a low-profile silent tactile switch on Kailh's Choc V2 platform, with a polycarbonate top housing, a nylon base, and a POM stem. Silicone damping rings cushion both the downstroke and return, keeping it quiet enough for shared offices or late-night use.
It keeps a defined tactile bump rather than a muted one, and its dust-proof stem gives a stable, low-wobble press. It is factory-lubed and fits Choc V2 hot-swap boards, not standard MX.

Don't let the low profile fool you. The tactile bump here is genuine and really satisfying - sitting right in the middle, neither weak nor overpowering, which for me is just right. Everything else I said about the linear Islet applies: it's a superb little silent switch. As a low-profile silent tactile it punches well above its size, and the muted, cushioned bottom-out makes it a pleasure to type on. Great for anyone who wants a quiet board without giving up a real tactile event.
