Overview
The KD400 is HMX's successor to its KD200 linear switch, developed with 80 Retros using newer molds and materials. Its modified PA12 top housing, PA66+PBT bottom housing, and strengthened POM stem are paired for the first time in an HMX switch, producing a distinctly clacky acoustic signature reminiscent of, yet sharper than, HMX's classic clack. The mold geometry leaves extra clearance between the stem and top housing for smooth travel, and the switch ships factory lubed.
