Overview
The HMX Moksae Silent is a silent linear switch from HMX, built with a polycarbonate top housing, a PA66 nylon bottom housing, and a double-shot POM and TPE stem. The TPE component acts as the dampening element, giving the switch HMX's silencing approach in place of the separate silicone pads used on earlier designs.
It succeeds HMX's earlier silent linears, and is generally described as delivering muted, smooth travel while aiming to avoid the soft or mushy bottom-out common to silent switches. It ships factory lubed.

HMX's first silent switch, as far as I know. I'm giving it 3 stars, but I'm genuinely looking forward to how this line develops. It uses the most common silent-switch construction -- silicone in the side rails. HMX's usual smoothness is fully intact and that part is excellent. But as a 'silent' switch it's still a bit soft on the silencing and noticeably not-quiet. You could probably train yourself to ignore it, but it kept bothering me, hence the 3 stars. Still, if you like a silent switch that lets a bit of sound through, this could be a good fit.
