Overview

The HMX Macaron is a linear switch from HMX built with a polycarbonate top housing, a nylon-based bottom housing, and a POK stem. It arrives factory-lubed, and reviewers consistently note smooth travel with very little spring ping.

Its sound is described as a light, pronounced clack with a rounded bottom end, while the light spring gives a bouncy, easy keypress. It is a non-silent switch generally favoured for typing-focused builds.

The POK stem does great work, giving a nice clacky snap. It's on the heavier side, but maybe because the total travel is short, you don't feel it as all that heavy.
