The sound and feel are like carbonation popping. The bump is strong and, being long-pole, it really projects — a truly one-of-a-kind switch. Aluminum boards are the surest match, and something that sounds clacky pairs especially well. It is loud, though, and I'd lube the springs; I tried lubing the stem side rails too, but leaving them alone kept the sound properly loud, which I preferred.
