Gateron Raw

Genuinely high quality — you feel Gateron's craftsmanship. Despite an orthodox PC/POM/Nylon combo it's incredibly smooth, and the long-pole stem gives a solid, present sound. A shame it's hard to buy, but otherwise excellent. The one catch: the sound is flat, so it can come across as a little uninteresting. (Update 2026-03-06: I docked a star — it really does lack depth/heft.) It's a very honest, straightforward switch that fans of that will love. Pairs best with foam-less boards, and absolutely with one that brings out a clacky sound; a mid-plate or bottom weight adds the heft this flat profile otherwise misses (Cloudline V2 is one example). Use it for resonance, and add your own spring lube — the factory spring lube is weak or absent.
