Overview
The Gateron Magnetic White (KS-20) is a linear, Hall-effect switch: permanent magnets and a magnetic sensor read the stem's position instead of a physical metal contact, so the actuation point can be adjusted. It works only with boards built to the magnetic (Wooting/lekker) standard, not standard mechanical PCBs.
It combines a polycarbonate top housing, a nylon bottom, and a POM stem, and ships pre-lubed. As a linear it has no tactile bump, giving an even keystroke throughout the press.

The bottom housing is open around the stem, so the sound doesn't resonate much -- it's designed to be quiet. Not a silent switch exactly, but quiet for a magnetic switch. That said, it can sound a little hollow because of it, which felt underwhelming to me personally. Haven't explored magnetic-switch keyboards enough to know what it pairs well with. It's cheaper than Jade Pro, but still around $0.60 a switch, so honestly I'd point you to Owlab instead -- unless quiet typing specifically is what you're after, in which case this one's worth it.
