Overview
The Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro is a Hall-effect linear switch for magnetic-sensing keyboards. Instead of a metal contact leaf, a magnet in the POM stem is read by a sensor in the board, letting the actuation point be set anywhere along the travel on boards that support it; it works only in Hall-effect PCBs, not standard mechanical keyboards.
It pairs a polycarbonate top housing with a nylon base and ships factory-lubed, with a back-covered housing design meant to limit stem wobble and shape its sound.

Reviews
Pricey at around $0.80 per switch, but the quality holds up. The crisp, clacky sound and the cushioned feel of the 20mm spring are both excellent, and it has a distinctive tone — like mahjong tiles clacking together. Two caveats: the price, and it doesn't seat very tightly, so a switch can pop out with the keycap when you pull caps. One of the better magnetic switches I'd tried as of early 2025.
