Cherry MX Honey, also branded MX2A Honey, is Cherry's silent tactile switch built on the MX2A platform. Unlike traditional Cherry tactiles, its bump arrives right at the top of the keystroke rather than after a stretch of pre-travel, giving a pronounced early tactile event that eases as the key is pressed.
The stem carries dampening pads that soften the topping-out and bottoming-out sounds, and the switch ships factory-lubricated. It is aimed at quiet, tactile typing in shared spaces.

Cherry's first silent tactile. The classic Cherry scratch — in both sound and feel — is gone, and it's nice that it works with no spring swap or extra lube. But the top-out has noisy sound, and Deep Sea Silent is quieter, so it loses on pure silence. Buy it expecting to enjoy that noisy sound as part of the character. Note the bump is stronger than you'd expect (around a Gazzew U4) and it bottoms out near 60g.
