Overview
The Cherry MX Brown Hyperglide is a tactile switch from Cherry, built on the brand's updated Hyperglide tooling. Nylon top and bottom housings pair with an MX-style POM stem, and the revised molds bring tighter tolerances, reduced stem wobble, and greater durability than earlier Cherry Browns.
It has a light, rounded tactile bump that some enthusiasts find mild for a tactile switch, while the nylon housing lends a fuller, deeper sound that still carries the characteristic Cherry signature. It ships PCB-mount for hot-swap and soldered builds.

You can use it without swapping the spring, but doing so is more fun! I actually prefer the broken-in Butter Brown — it's smoother and slicker, so personally, pricey as it is, I'd rather buy Butter Brown. The tactility and sound are pure 'Cherry Brown,' so this one will split opinion. A foam-less board is the best match. Buy it with the idea of enjoying that slightly gritty, crisp character. If you're going to lube, just a spring swap plus lubing the spring seems enough.
