SWG Nightshift opens a sci-fi keycap group buy, with a $67 base kit
Shark’s late-night laboratory theme pairs dark alphas with yellow-green legends. The Cherry-profile set offers five kits, ABS doubleshot construction and a special layered blood-smear novelty.
Announcement date: October 30, 2026
SWG Nightshift is in group buy from October 30 through November 13, 2026. Swagkeys’ international store lists the Base Kit at US$67, while its Korean store lists it at ₩79,000. Shipping is estimated for Q3 2027 internationally, with late August specified by the Korean store.
Designed by Shark and manufactured by Swagkeys, the set builds a keyboard-sized science-fiction story around a secret research program. The colorway brings dark alphas, gray modifiers and yellow-green legends together with terminal-style graphics.
A night shift in a fictional research facility
The project’s fictional backstory follows an unexplained object recovered from the Northern California coast. Researchers discover that it communicates only during a narrow overnight window, and use chess to try to decipher it. That premise runs through the keycap graphics: lost communications, instrument readouts and labels that turn ordinary modifiers into a control panel.
Keebpedia’s take: the standard legends keep the Base Kit readable, while Alien Alphas and the Novelty Kit let a build lean further into the story. The choice is between a restrained colorway and a much more overtly themed board.
Specifications and the unusual novelty construction
The Korean listing specifies approximately 1.3 mm walls and identifies the ordinary caps as ABS, with ABS+PBT for novelties. It separately lists insert molding and doubleshot legends. A separate external factory name is not disclosed; the manufacturer is identified as Swagkeys.
The project announcement describes the blood-smear novelty as dye-sublimation on an inner PBT layer under a translucent ABS outer shot. That is a specific exception to the straightforward doubleshot description. The designer says a sample was requested to compare with the render, so the pictured effect should be treated as a production target.

Five kits, priced separately
The Base Kit supplies the core layout keys. Alien Alphas replace the letter legends, Alt Mods change the modifier treatment, Novelties add themed graphics, and the Numpad is a separate purchase. The diagram below is more useful than a broad compatibility claim when checking a specific layout.
| Kit | USD · Bowl Keyboards | KRW · Swagkeys Korea |
|---|---|---|
| Base | US$67 | ₩79,000 |
| Novelty | US$19 | ₩24,000 |
| Alien Alphas | US$19 | ₩24,000 |
| Alt Mods | US$30 | ₩39,000 |
| Numpad | US$20 | ₩18,000 |
USD prices are the US Bowl Keyboards prices published in the designer’s group-buy announcement; KRW prices are from Swagkeys’ Korean store. These are independent regional listings, not currency conversions. Shipping and applicable destination charges are additional.
Ordering window and delivery estimate
The published date range is October 30–November 13. Swagkeys’ November 3 Discord notice gives a November 13 closing time of 23:59 without naming the timezone. International buyers should use their chosen vendor’s deadline rather than assume a timezone conversion.
This is a manufacturing preorder. The current official international ETA is Q3 2027, and the Korean page narrows its estimate to late August; production and transport can change those estimates.
