Taiwan’s Play Keyboard and South Korea’s Swagkeys are bringing back their curved Smurve80 in a frosted Lume Edition. The group buy runs from October 29 through November 15, 2026 at retailers including DIGIART and SoupKeys. Singapore’s qwertyqop lists it at S$145 and estimates arrival in Q1 2027.

A curved case with a physical click

The Smurve80 takes its curved shape from the IBM Model M. The built-in solenoid adds a mechanical strike and vibration as you type. First Light and Last Night use frosted, translucent cases that let the south-facing RGB show through.

The Lume Edition ships assembled with switches, keycaps, a coiled cable and a silver glitter Glint Key. The 6.25u and 7u bottom rows use different PCBs, so buyers choose their layout when ordering.

Layout, connectivity and switches

The switch choices are HMX Akari linear, HMX Retro Sakura Silent linear and Cherry MX Honey silent tactile. Play Keyboard’s interest check gives Akari a 45 gf actuation force and 50 gf bottom-out. NovelKeys describes it as an HMX Snowflake derivative with a clear diffuser.
