Bro Caps announced Halloween After, a raffle for six handmade artisan keycap options. Two versions of the BroBot V2.69 anchor the sale: the gray-and-black Skelekrew III and the orange Jack-o’-lantern. Both colorways also come as MX Gamer Sets. The Lobotomy BrainrotBot and Skellington Last Pilot round out the lineup.

Who is Bro Caps?

Bro Caps is a U.S. artisan maker that releases small batches of handmade, sculpted keycaps for mechanical keyboards. It started in 2012 with the original BroBot, a robot-head keycap, and went on to make sculpts such as the hooded Reaper. In a 2015 Geekhack auction announcement, the maker credited the BroBot V2 with establishing his work as an artisan.

The BroBot has been reworked across several generations. For the design’s tenth anniversary, Bro Caps and Artkey Universe collaborated on CreepBot, a sculpt that depicts the robot with its faceplate open and an organic interior exposed. Bro Caps also uses its own Tru-Bro ID cards to help collectors verify authenticity. Each artisan in Halloween After comes with one.

Six options and their prices

The four individual sculpts use TMX, a stem design made to fit both Topre and Cherry MX mounts. The two Gamer Sets are listed for MX.

A closer look at the lineup

Skelekrew III gives the BroBot a pale face over a black base. Lobotomy puts an exposed pink brain inside a dark red shell, while Skellington gives the Last Pilot a white skull face framed by a black hood.

Entry, payment and shipping

Bro Caps says the raffle stays open for 24 hours from launch. The form gives no exact closing time or time zone. Entrants can select several options and request up to four wins. Bro Caps sends selected entrants a PayPal invoice after the draw, with payment due on receipt.

The form lists shipping at $12 within the contiguous United States and $24 internationally. Destinations outside the form’s country list require a U.S. forwarding address. Bro Caps says it will ship within 60 days of purchase, before transit time.
