TTC Poseidon HE Review: Tight Stem, Poppy Bottom-Out
TTC’s Poseidon HE is a smooth magnetic linear with little stem wobble, two RGB light guides, and a distinct pop at the bottom of each keystroke.

Typing feel and stem wobble
The Poseidon HE felt smooth through the stroke, and the 20 mm spring gave the press a slightly cushioned feel. The stem fit was tight, with little movement when nudged. You can see the play for yourself in the stem wobble demo at 0:41.
TTC lists 3.4 ± 0.2 mm of total travel. Our review card records an 11 mm POM stem, a 20 mm single-stage spring, a 50 gf bottom-out force, and factory lubrication.

Two light guides, one lit side in our test
TTC puts a light guide on each side of the switch. The south guide lit up clearly on the GravaStar Mercury V60 Pro used for the review. The north side stayed dark on that board. A PCB that sends light to both sides can make fuller use of the two guides.
A rounded pop at bottom-out
The recording on the Mercury V60 Pro captures the Poseidon’s most distinctive trait: a rounded “pop” when the key reaches the bottom of its travel.
When I took the switch apart, I noticed four holes around the magnet at the tip of the stem. My hunch is that those holes contribute to the popping sound at bottom-out.

Verdict
The smooth travel and tight stem fit were the highlights. I still prefer the sound of other TTC switches I’ve tried, but the Poseidon HE is worth a listen if you enjoy a more pronounced pop at bottom-out.
