Overview
The Gazzew Boba U4T is a non-silent tactile switch, the thocky counterpart to the silent Boba U4. Both housings use Gazzew's proprietary plastic blend, paired with a POM stem, and the switch is known for a deep, solid bottom-out alongside a poppier top-out.
It has a rounded tactile bump that sits early in the keypress, with little to no pre-travel, produced by a leaf redesigned for tactiles that also curbs leaf ping. Reviewers describe it as smooth with minimal stem wobble owing to tight housing tolerances.

The bump is strong, so the tactile feel really comes through. But it used to be marketed as "Thocky," and it isn't anymore -- being an older switch I expected some scratchiness, but there was none. It ends up just a "normal" tactile switch. A long-running product I was looking forward to, but it turned out surprisingly ordinary. The strong tactile bump Boba U4 is known for is still there, just nothing beyond it -- and some units have an audible spring ping that only adds noise, not satisfaction. The "T" in U4T is supposed to mean "Extra Thocccc," and it really doesn't deliver that.
